Galvanised section designed to obtain the optimum acoustic performance when constructing conventional ceilings under timber joists. Resilient bar can also be used in conjunction with Stud & Track in wall systems to optimize the acoustic performance of internal walls. Resilient bar can be used with or without mineral wool insulation.

Care should be taken to ensure that the Resilient Bar is only fixed to the joists through the pre drilled holes in the lip. Fixings used to attach plasterboard to the Resilient Bar should not touch the ceiling joists as this will enable sound escape and reduce acoustic performance.
The Libra Systems Ltd Resilient Bar has been tested to carry up to two layers of 15mm plasterboard.
