Plasterboard Edge Beads are used to reinforce plasterboard edges by enclosing them in a protective steel enclosure.

Application

This bead is to reinforce the edge of plasterboard.  It can be fixed either with the 25mm perforate flange on the face of the board by nailing and skimmed over or with the short flange on the board face for a decorative edge finish.

Designed with nail holes for easy fix with drywall nails.  The bead can also be installed using suitable adhesive or plaster dabs at maximum 600mm intervals. Beads can be cut to size as required using tin-snips and/or hacksaw.  The perforated wing provides an improved coverage over a standard wing and prevent cracking.

Plaster depth 2/3mm.

Advise to wear gloves to avoid risk of cuts and abrasions from the sharp metal edges.
